Privacy Notice for Online Presence Co.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Online Presence Co., Crystal Lake, Illinois. Contact: (630) 765-0559 or the forms on this site. This notice explains what we do with the information you send us through the forms on this site, and what our site counts when you visit.
1. What we collect
- "I have a website" (free audit) form: your name, business name, website address, phone number, email, the best time to call you, any services you ticked, and whether you agreed to be contacted.
- "I don't have one yet" form: your name, business name, type of business, phone number, best time to call you, any services you ticked, and whether you agreed to be contacted.
- Automatically, with the form: the date and time you sent it, the page you sent it from, the version of the consent wording you saw, and, if you arrived from one of our ads or links, which campaign brought you (the "utm" tags in the link: source, medium and campaign name). These tell us which ads work. They are saved with your request, not used to follow you around the web. While you browse, your browser keeps those tags from the link you arrived on in its session storage (deleted when you close the tab), so a request sent from another page of this site still shows which ad brought you.
- Our visit counter: see section 2 (switched off at the moment). We do not use tracking cookies or ad pixels.
- We do not ask for, and you should not send, payment card numbers, bank details, passwords or government ID numbers.
2. Our visit counter (first-party, no cookies)
Right now this counter is switched off, because our forms currently go through a form-delivery service (see section 5). Once our own form connection is live, it works like this. We count visits with our own small counter, so we can see where our own site loses people and fix it. When you leave a page, your browser sends us one short note with:
- the page you were on, and the name of the site you came from (for example google.com), if any;
- any campaign tags in the link (source, medium and campaign name);
- how far down the page you scrolled, and how long the page was open;
- whether you started a form and whether you sent it;
- the name of the last form box you used (for example "phone"), never what you typed in it;
- whether you tapped our phone number.
The counter sets no cookies. It keeps one random visit number in your browser's session storage so it can tell pages of the same visit apart; your browser deletes it when you close the tab. It does not keep your IP address or anything you type into a form before you send it. The note goes to the same private Google Sheet as our forms, nowhere else. We use it to fix our own site, and we use the totals for a weekly summary for Nathan.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the counter does not run at all.
We do not use Google Analytics, ad pixels or any other third-party tracker on this site.
3. Why we collect it
- To call you back at the time you chose, and to email you about your request.
- For the audit form: to review your public website and prepare a one-page audit and fix list for our call.
- To keep a record that you asked us to contact you.
- To see which of our pages, ads and links work (the campaign tags above).
We do not use it for anything else without asking you first.
4. How the audit is made
We use automated tools, including our own audit scripts, to check your public website pages (for example: is there a call button, is there a form that can send, how fast does it load). Nathan tests form delivery by hand. We look only at what anyone can see on your site. Nathan reviews the findings before the call. When you send the audit form, we run a quick check of your public website pages. Once our own form connection is live, this check runs automatically in our Google Apps Script and looks up your web address through Google's public DNS service (dns.google). Only your public website address is used for these checks. Your name, email and phone number are not sent to any outside AI service.
5. Where it is stored
In Online Presence Co.'s Gmail inbox, in a Google account protected by password and two-step sign-in. Our emails go through Gmail. Google processes this data for us as our service provider.
Our forms currently go through a form-delivery service (FormSubmit), which emails your request to that inbox. FormSubmit handles the details you typed into the form only to deliver them to us. While this is the case, the visit counter in section 2 is switched off.
6. Who sees it
Nathan, plus the service providers named above (Google and FormSubmit), only to run this site and deliver your request. No data is sold. We do not rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their marketing. We would disclose it only if the law requires it.
7. How we contact you
By phone call and email only, and only because you asked. We do not send text messages. Nathan makes every call himself. We never use an autodialer, recorded messages or AI-voice messages. If we would like to record a call, we will ask you first at the start of the call, and we only record if everyone on the call says yes.
8. How long we keep it
- If we do not end up working together: we delete your contact details and the other details saved with your request 90 days after we close your request, or sooner if you ask.
- If you become a client: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and business record rules require.
- Visit counter notes: these hold no contact details, and we delete them about 90 days after they are made (old notes are cleared once a week).
- A short note that you asked us to stop contacting you is kept so we do not contact you again.
9. Your choices
- Stop contact: reply "stop" to any email, or tell Nathan on a call, and we stop.
- See, fix or delete your information: call Nathan at (630) 765-0559, reply to any email from us, or send a request through any form on this site and say "Privacy request". We answer within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
10. Children
This site is for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
11. Changes
If we change this notice, we update the date at the top.
